Happy Malaysia Day

Happy Malaysia Day to all! Roarrr!!!

On the 4th of September, Leo Club of Pei Yuan had organized a Malaysia Day project themed " Paint and Reassemble Out Our National Flag". We created a Giant Malaysian Flag by using MORE THAN 1500 empty egg trays. With the co-operation and hardworks of the organizing committee members and our members, this project was a success. District Chairperson for Leo Clubs Alan Thoo, Regional Committee Chairperson for Region 5, cabinet officers and approximately 100 leos and members from other school and our school attended this project.

This project was started in the formal way, which means the Flag Salutation, Lion Spirit, Leo Pledge and Roll Call and followed by the address by Organizing Chairperson Leo Tim Choong and the speech by our guest of honour DC Alan Thoo. Next, the painting and arranging flag session begins.

The aim of this project is to increase the awareness of Malaysians for Malaysia Day which falls on the 16th of September. Malaysia Day is the day when Malaya, Sarawak and North Borneo officially combined together and formed Malaysia. Without this day, there is no Malaysia.

Last but not least, We wish everyone a Happy Malaysia Day! Roarrr!!!!

We have a video about our "P.R.O.O.F." project too.
Enjoy!
