Cheer U Up Christmas Celebration

"Good morning sisters and brothers, Merry Christmas! ", our visit had been welcomed by them. We had done a joint project with Leo Club of SBC, Batu Gajah yesterday. The project started at 9am and ended at 10.45am because the orphans had to go out for lunch. Our outgoing assistant secretary, Leo Liew Xin played some christmas songs by using organ in the home. We played games and distributed sweets and junk food for them.

Penang Trip

We're back from Penang!!

Region 4 Leos (Pei Yuan, Sam Tet, Anderson, Yuk Kwan) had attended the pillow fight event in Penang Times Square. We had took a photo with DC Lion Alan Thoo.

This is the photo took with Leos from Penang Union High School in Queensbay Mall after the Go Green Start From Your Home Competition.

Our president participated in the competition together with Yuk Kwan's President, Irence. They had fun during the process of making the product!!

We woke up early in the morning the next day. After having our breakfast, we went to St Joseph Home. There was a Region 1 & Region 4 Joint Welfare Home Service Project there.

Penang Activities

Region 1 Charity Pillow Fight Event. This event was jointly organized with Region 1 Leo Clubs and New Century Lions Club of Penang Island. The details of the Charity Pillow Fight Event are as follows:
Event Name : Fight for a Good Cause
Date : 21st Nov 2009 (Saturday)
Time : 10am - 2pm
Venue : Penang Time Square
Participation Ticket : RM 5 ( self bring pillow ) RM15 ( inclusive of 1 pillow )

The purpose of this event is to raise RM15,000 for 3 Charity Organizations : The Children’s Protection Society, SPCA Penang & St. Nicholas Penang. Besides, this event also allow city folks to relieve their daily stress in a fun & safe way.

Recyclable Items Design Competition 'Go Green, Start From Your Home' . This project is organized by Leo Club of Penang City. It will be held on 21st of November(Saturday), at 1st Floor of North Zone, QueensBay Mall from 1.00pm to 7.00pm.

For your information, we'll going on the morning on 21st which is this Saturday by bus with Leo Club of Sam Tet and Anderson and stay over night there. We'll have a joint project on 22nd then back to Kampar. For those who are interested please contact with me as soon as possible.

30th Joint Installation @ Sam Tet Major Project

Due to the Influenza A H1N1, our joint installation has been postponed for a long period. After discussion and analyzation into few aspects, RCC Lion Mary Goh decided to organize 30th Perak Leo Joint Installation in conjunction with the Major Project of Leo Club of Sam Tet entitled “A Greener Environment For A Better Generation”.


The details of 30th Perak Leo Joint Installation are as follows:

Interact Born Friendship - Basketball Competition

Our Public Relation Chairperson, Leo Choong Wei Herng had organized a public relation project. This project is jointly organized by basketball club of SMJK Pei Yuan. The objective of this project is to discover the basketball potential of the students as well as foster better ties among Leos.

Leo Choong Wei Herng started distributed the post to all BODs and guarded them well 2 weeks before the project. As the organizing Secretary, Leo Cheng Woon Hang done his post well. He also sent invitation to all clubs in Region 4, typed permission letter and wrote down the report.

On the other hand, catering went Tesco bought the food like hotdogs, nuggets, fish ball, and carbonated drinks. Early in the morning of that day, they woke up and gathered in Leo Hor Soek Kei’s house. With their cooperation, the food was prepared successfully. The responses from public were good. Unfortunately, our Lions were not free thus can’t attend our project. The project had come to the end at 4.30pm. We appreciated the participation of Leo Club of Sam Tet, Leo Club of Anderson, SMJK Yuk Kwan, Pei Yuan High School, SM SIS and also SMJK Pei Yuan.
